John Minns is Director of the Australian National Centre for Latin American Studies (ANCLAS) and a senior lecturer in Politics and International Relations at the Australian National University in Canberra. Dr Minns received his PhD from the University of New South Wales, Sydney. His research, teaching interests and publications are in the fields of East Asian political economy, labour movements and the political economy of newly industrialising countries, third world development, and reactions to globalisation.
